Embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, was Friday granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to the tune of N250 million.

The court, presided over by Justice Huseni Baba-Yusuf, granted Dasuki and four other bail with the same amount as bail bond.

Justice Baba-Yusuf also directed that accused are to produce sureties – a director in the Federal Civil Service Commission(FCSC) and that the sureties must provide property worth N250 million within Abuja, and an evidence of means.

The court also ruled that the defendants are to deposit their travel passports and their counsels must notify the court of any intention by the defendants to travel out of Abuja, adding that until the bail condition is met, the accused person will remain remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The judge adjourned the case Thursday and Friday, January 21 and 22 respectively for definite hearing.

Dasuki was arraigned alongside his former finance director at the Office of the National Security Adviser, Baba Kusa, Reference Referral Hospital and Acacia Holding Company.

The accused persons were arraigned on a 19 count charge bordering on money laundering, criminal abuse of public trust and receipt of stolen funds and property.
