Dino appears in Senate robed in academic gown

Controversial Senator Dino Melaye, appeared ‎in Senate, on Tuesday fully kitted in his academic gown.

Melaye who shocked lawmakers and appeared while others were already seated, did not retire to his seat immediately.

Instead, he took a long walk around, exchanging pleasantries with his colleagues, who were thrown into laughter. It took the intervention of the Senate Chief Whip, Senator Olusola Adeyeye to restore sanity to the floor.

Melaye’s action is not unconnected to his recent travails, wherein he is being accused of forging his university degree certificate.

The controversy was finally laid to rest on Monday, when the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Professor Ibrahim Garba, told Senate Ethics committee that Melaye graduated from the institution.

Meanwhile, the Kogi state-born Senator says he is set to file a cyber-stalling suit against the publisher of Saharareporters on Friday in New York, and that he is going to copy the U.S Embassy.
