EFCC arraigns Atiku’s lawyer

Don't drag Buhari to court, 36 presidential candidates beg Atiku

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday arraigned Abdullahi Babalele and Uyiekpen Osagie-Giwa, said to be a son-in-law and lawyer of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The duo were separately arraigned before the Federal High Court in Lagos for allegedly laundering $140,000 and $2m, respectively in the build-up to the 2019 general elections.

They pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Justice Nicholas Oweibo adjourned till Thursday to take their bail applications.

The judge ordered that they be returned to the EFCC custody.
