EKITI ELECTION TRIBUNAL: INEC staff deliberately voided PDP vote –Witness

Ekiti governorship election tribunal was on Tuesday told that a staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deliberately voided votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the July 14 governorship election in the state.

A petitioner’s witness, Omobuljo Bankole, told this to the tribunal headed by Justice Suleiman Belgore, sitting at the FCT High Court, Apo.

He specifically claimed that PDP votes were voided in Unit 009, Ward 4 of Ido -Osi Local Government Area.

The petitioners, PDP, and its candidate in the election, Professor Kolapo Olusola is challenging the outcome of the election result at the tribunal.

Kayode Fayemi, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election, who was inaugurated as governor of Ekiti State on October 16, is a respondent in the suit along with his party, APC and the INEC.
