The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, Monday announced new guidelines on the relaxation of COVID-19 lockdown in the state.

The governor, who released the guidelines on his Twitter handle, said the rules took effect from Monday.

He said all places of worship remained closed until further notice.

Fayemi, however, said business activities were allowed only three days a week – 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

He also declared that anyone without a face mask would be sent home from the market or other business outlets.

“Anyone without a face mask will be asked to return home and will be prosecuted.
