Embattled Baru prays in Aso Rock with Buhari after Kachikwu's meeting with president

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Group Managing Director, Maikanti Baru, visited the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday, the same day President Muhammadu Buhari met with Ibe Kachikwu, Minister of state for Petroleum Resources.

Kachikwu, had met with Buhari on Friday apparently as a result of the controversy currently rocking the NNPC. The minister had in a leaked memo to Buhari alleged insubordination and $25 billion (N9 trillion) scandal involving the NNPC GMD Baru.

However, about the same time Buhari was meeting with Kachikwu, Baru was sighted in Aso Rock. First, at the Vice – President’s wing of the Presidential Villa before he was later seen at the office of the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Abba Kyari.

Embattled Baru had afterward joined other Muslim faithful, including Buhari for the Juma’at service in a mosque inside the Presidential Villa.

There have been calls for Buhari to suspend Baru following the scandal currently rocking the NNPC.

    I wonder when southerners and northerners will start living together as true friends…Kachikwu’s case is no difference
