EPL: Iheanacho grabs assist, Ndidi stars in Leicester draw; Sanchez scores for United

Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was on from the start for Leicester City and contributed to a goal as his side were held to a draw by Swansea City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The former Manchester City striker slipped a pass through two Swansea defenders’ legs in the 17th minute and Jamie Vardy received the ball and slotted home.

The hosts dominated the first half and created plenty of chances as Iheanacho was denied by Alfie Mawson oN the goal line, before Wilfred Ndidi had a goal belatedly disallowed for offside.

But their one-goal lead ended on 53 minutes when Federico Fernandez equalised for an improved Swansea as he headed home a Ki Sung-yueng corner.

While Iheanacho was substituted later in the second half, his compatriot, Ndidi, was in action throughout the game as Leicester held on to the point.

Earlier on Saturday, leaders Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley, a result that denied them the chance of becoming only the third team in the Premier League era to hold an 18-point lead at the summit.

Danilo’s 22nd-minute opener was cancelled by Johann Berg Gudmundsson’s leveller for Burnley with eight minutes remaining, while Raheem Sterling missed a clear chanfe to regain the lead for City.

In the other games of Saturday, Bournemouth came from behind to defeat Stoke City 2-1; West Brom fell 2-3 at home to Southampton; while Brighton beat West Ham 3-1.
