Don’t get too excited, Buhari will never approve state, LGA police – Fani-Kayode

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has decried President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to South Africa.

Buhari leaves Nigeria on Wednesday for South Africa on a three-day state visit to the Rainbow country.

But Fani-Kayode, in a message on his Twitter handle, described Buhari’s visit to the country as inappropiate and an insult to the Nigerian people.

A recent xenophobic attack on Nigerians and other foreigners in South Africa left many dead, with business offices and shops burnt.

Several Nigerians had since been evacuated from the country due to the attacks.

In his response to President Buhari’s state visit to the country, Fani-Kayode said “a President does not reward a foreign power that has just slaughtered his citizens with impunity with a state visit.”

He added, “@MBuhari’s visit to South Africa is inappropiate and an insult to the Nigerian people. This is yet another 1st in the ignoble hall of infamy and shame for Nigeria.”
