Fani-Kayode calls Adesina a liar, says Buhari’s return will be temporary as usual

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has said that he is praying for President Muhammadu Buhari to find oil in the North.

He said that the moment the recent desperate search for oil in the North yields a positive result, that they will be the first to call for breakup of the country.

According to him, the North will continue to oppose restructuring of the nation should Buhari fail to find oil in the region, adding that the North are nothing without oil from the southern part of the country.

Fani-Kayode, who stated this in his twitter handle on Thursday said, “My prayer for Nigeria is that oil is found in commercial quantities in the core North, I am glad that Buhari is looking for it desperately.

“If he finds it, he and the North will be the first to call for a breakup of the country. If he fails to find it they will continue to be the greatest obstacle to the restructuring of our nation and they will continue to provide the greatest opposition to the peaceful division of our country. Why? Because, without southern oil, the north is
nothing.”

The former director of Media and Publicity for the Goodluck Jonathan Presidential Campaign Organization, recently spent 67 days in detention with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N4 billion campaign fund during the build-up to the 2015 presidential election.

He has been one of the notable critics of Buhari’s administration and has vowed to continue despite his recent detention, which some Nigerians, mostly Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members feel was motivated by his open criticism of the APC government.
