Fayose hints on his two-way plan for 2018 as posters flood Ekiti

Lies! Nigerians want video, photo proof of Buhari, Fayose tells Osinbajo

Ekiti State’s Governor Ayodele Fayose on Monday hinted on his readiness to run for the 2018 governorship election in the state in order to complete his truncated first term.

He explained that it was for that reason his images are being seen on campaign posters in the state.

Fayose was impeached during his first term in office in 2006, before the Supreme Court in 2014 nullified the impeachment that removed him from office with only about seven months left to the end of his first term.

But speaking during a live broadcast on Ekiti State Television in Ado-Ekiti on Monday evening, Fayose said he chose to put his photo on campaign posters, since the apex court had ruled that his impeachment in 2006 was illegal.

He explained that he was prepared to go back to the Supreme Court to ask it to interpret what that ruling means and also consider seeking a re-election in 2018.

He said, “The Continuity poster you see my image in and which is spreading across the state can be interpreted in two ways.

“First is the need for me to ask the apex court to explain its 2014 ruling that my so-called impeachment in 2014 was ‎illegal, null and void and consider a re-election in 2018 so that I can complete my term.

“Second is for me to get our own man, one who is like Ayo Fayose to continue after my tenure in 2018.”

Am still skeptical that fayose meant this intent of running again, so he wants to govern ekiti for 11 years, impossible, it can’t be possible

It can be possible depending on court’s interpretation, the court may give him the privilege of running for another full tenure or an extension of this current administration to complete his remaining 9 months from the illegal 2006 ruling that kicked him out, depending on the discretion of the court

Oshoko of ekiti, ride on, we are behind you, though your poster is not conveying any political party yet. Hope it’s not another platform aside Pdp

Whatever the platform he used , Fayose won’t win the election, fayemi, oni, and Afe Babalola won’t allow that happen

I’d personally like to see Fayose rule again, he’s one of the few good governors in Nigeria, but he has spent technically two tenures already, except the court says he can rule again.

Yes sure, if the court says he can, he will rule Ekiti again because they are mumu people and Fayose knows how to get whatever he wants from them, with ankara and few cups of rice, the thug will rule them again
