Former Shell MD Omiyi is now Stanbic chairman

Former country chairman of Shell Nigeria, Mr. Basil Omiyi has been elected as the chairman of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc.

Omiyi’s appointment took effect on Monday, May 15, 2017.

In a statement signed by Company Secretary, Stanbic IBTC Holdings, Chidi Okezie, the board of the holding company said it has received all required regulatory approvals for Omiyi’s appointment.

Omiyi succeeds Mr. Atedo Peterside following the latter’s resignation as a non-executive director and chairman of the board on March 31, 2017.
