The expansive farmland owned by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Chief Olu Falae, has again been invaded by fulani herdsmen who’s flock unwantonly grazed his farmland.
The invasion is coming barely two weeks after some suspected fulani herdsmen attacked and kidnapped Chief Falae on the same farmland located in Ilado in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Mr. Bruno Akhigbodemen, Falae’s Farm Manager, took newsmen on Wednesday around the over one kilometre of maize farmland destroyed during the invasion.
Akhigbodemen told newsmen that the herdsmen arrived the farm at about 2am to wreck havoc.
According to him, efforts were made to stop the destruction but it fell on deaf ears as the herdsmen rather rebuffed the plea and instead threatened him and others who worked on the farmland.

Akhigbodemen said that the former SGF reported the latest destruction of his farmland to the state Police Command and members of the Police Force flung into action as some detectives from the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) were immediately deployed to the farm following Chief Falae’s complaint.
Neighbouring villages were reportedly combed for the suspects but they were unable to make any arrest.
According to sources, the search still continues as some detectives still keep vigil in the village.
Chief Falae is billed to travel abroad this weekend for medical treatment after his horrifying kidnap experience which he described as ” hell”.
