Glitterati as Messi finally marries childhood sweetheart (Photos)

Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has finally married his childhood sweetheart, Antonela Roccuzzo, in his hometown on Friday.

In what has been called the “wedding of the century,” Messi, 30, and Antonela, 29, had their ceremony held at a luxury hotel in the city of Rosario.

Football stars and celebrities were among the 260 guests, with hundreds of police deployed for the event.

Among the guests were Messi’s Barcelona teammates Luis Suárez, Neymar, Gerard Piqué and his wife, Colombia’s pop star Shakira; Also invited are Cesc Fabregas, Angel Di Maria and a host of others.

Messi met Antonela as a child in Argentina before he moved to Spain at the age of 13.
