EBONYI: Sen. Ogbuoji plotting with INEC to allot 200,000 votes to APC during guber poll- PDP alleges

Ebonyi State governor and chairman of South-East Governors Forum, David Umahi has warned his aides against speaking ill of, or abusing President Muhammadu Buhari.

Umahi, an opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governor, warned the aides that any of them caught insulting Buhari would be sacked immediately.

He equally said that henceforth, any of his appointees that “derived pleasure” in talking down any government or governor in the country would be ejected.

He stated this in a statement by his special assistant on new media, Mr Francis Nwaze on Thursday.

He said anybody who wished to “throw unnecessary stones at any of the leaders should be ready to leave his government.”

The statement read in part, “The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has prohibited any of his political appointees from castigating or abusing the Nigerian President, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

“Doing such to any government or any governor in this country has no value to add to his administration.

“Henceforth, any posting against the President, any governor or government from any of his appointees will attract immediate termination of appointment by him.”

Umahi had never hidden his admiration for Buhari. He had even during the heat of the 2019 general elections declared Buhari as his friend.
