BIAFRA: Kanu fumes at court says FG witnesses can testify in secret

The transfer of the case of the detained leader of the The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court has been rejected by the pro-Biafra group.

The group disclosed this in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Emeka Powerful on Tuesday.

IPOB insisted in the statement that the transfer of the case was masterminded by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“The appointment came after the harassment and the intimidation of the judges who were working tirelessly to address the country’s injustice perpetrated by the government of the day in Nigeria.

“The government of the contraption called Nigeria assigned her to make sure she jails Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who has committed no crime against anybody in Nigeria.

“But we want to ask if the new trial judge, Binta Nyako, will jail people who did not commit any crime against the people?

“We are calling on international community and other wonderful men and women across the globe to mount their watch on the new trial judge assigned to be handling the case concerning the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.”, the statement read in part.

IPOB also disclosed that the new trial judge has equally fixed November 8 for trial of the case, yje same date chosen bybthe ECOWAS Court for Kanu’s suit before it.
