Kuku, ex-aide to Jonathan refutes report DSS summoned him over terrorism

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s ex special adviser on Niger Delta, Mr. Kingsley Kuku, has described as false, claims that the Department of State Service (DSS) summoned him over issues on terrorism.

The former aide to Jonathan said that his invitation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and not even DSS has nothing at all to do with terrorism, adding that the reports originated from an unsigned statement from a confidential source in the DSS which was aimed at causing hostility between the two government agencies.

Kuku, who also served as chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme under Jonathan, explained in a statement released on Tuesday that the EFCC only invited him following the orders of two courts.

He went further to say that he was in the United States and would return to the country immediately the issues before the court were decided.

Kuku reiterated that he was not a fugitive and that no agency of the Federal Government had pronounced that he is wanted, nor has any court of law convicted him for any crime.
