Leaked audio alleges plot by North, APC to suppress S'East, N’Delta

A trending audio conversation which is said to be a leaked conversation between Borno State’s Governor Kashim Shettima and Ogun State’s Governor Ibikunle Amosun, has exposed a plan by the North to suppress the South East and the South-South part of the country.

In the conversation, the voice supposed to be that of Shettima, explained that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will develop the North and West economy to make the two regions economically vibrant.

The voice supposed to be that of Shettima said, “The plan of APC is that they are going to make alliance of North/West economic development. The West has the Ocean, the North has agricultural produce, so what they are going to do there is that government has to develop all agricultural and mineral resources in the North and then they will put primary industries here and then go and finally finish them in Lagos and South West and export them and bring back the money and share it between the two region. Let them (South –South and South-East) drink their oil.”

Ibikunle in the alleged conversation, referred to the supposed Shettima as Alhaji, while he was referred to by his first name as Kunle.

Shettima was further heard saying that Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and former governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Transport, are not being taken seriously by the northerners despite being members of the APC, adding that they will be treated equally as their people.

The conversation also revealed that the North would have been happy had former President Jonathan resisted to hand over power so that the North would have redefined Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the two governors have separately denied the audio conversation, in different statements
