NFF crisis: Giwa group lose at Supreme Court
Barring any last-minute change, the League Management Company is expected to expel Giwa Football Club of Jos from the Nigeria Professional Football League after the team failed to honour their league match against Enyimba of Aba on Wednesday at the Ilorin Township Stadium.

The League Management Company last week cautioned Giwa they risked expulsion from the league if they miss any match again.

According to the Rule 13.28 of the Nigeria League, “if a club fails to honour three matches cumulatively within the league season without acceptable reason to the LMC such a club shall be expelled from the league and its matches played and un-played shall be cancelled”.

Wednesday’s match is the third Giwa have failed to honour so far this season without any acceptable reason.

Giwa were banished to Ilorin for three home games after crowd trouble during their recent match in Jos against Enugu Rangers.

However, the Jos club have insisted they do not answer to the disciplinary committee of the Nigeria Football Federation which sanctioned the banishment and have missed three games, namely against Wikki Tourists, Akwa United and now Enyimba.
