A tragic scene played out at Oroke Onuoha, Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, when a 25-year-old man identified as Peter Nkwuda was stabbed to death by his 50-year-old neighbour identified as Cyril Oko.

Reports say the incident happened when the deceased who hails from Ishieke village in the Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, asked his neighbour to lower the volume of his stereo system which was causing discomfort to some of the neighbours.

After severally asking him to reduce the volume of his sound system to no avail, Peter reportedly engaged Cyril in a heated argument.

In the heat of the tension, Cyril who hails from the Afikpo South Local Government Area of the state, reportedly dashed into his room and brought out a knife with which he fatally stabbed Peter.

Lying in his pool of blood, other neighbours who witnessed the incident tried to revive Peter to no avail as he died on the spot.

The matter was later reported at the Kpiripkiri Police Station by the wife of the deceased Mrs Chisom Nkwuda.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Loveth Odah, who confirmed the incident, police operatives were immediately dispatched to the scene of the incident to arrest Cyril.

She also revealed that the body of the deceased has been duly deposited at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki.
