Marauding herdsmen rob travelers on Abuja-Keffi expressway

Again, herdsmen invade Falae's farm, open fire on policemen

Scores of travelers on Abuja-Keffi expressway were dispossessed of their valuables such as mobile phones and cash when assailants suspected to be herdsmen attacked them.

Reports say the robbery attack took place along the expressway close to a village called Barde, after Gidan Waya in Kaduna State, a few kilometres from Jos, the Plateau state capital.

The attack which occurred at about 10:00 am saw no less than 10 heavily armed men stop the vehicle that the passengers were travelling in, ordering everyone to disembark from the bus and lie face down.

Incidentally, the robbery attack which reportedly lasted for 30 minutes was carried out between two police checkpoints as the assailants fled the scene when they sighted soldiers from Keffi in Nasarawa state.

One of the victims who was robbed of a huge sum of cash said the robbers were Fulani as he understood the language they conversed in.
