Moses relishes goal, hails Mikel’s Olympics triumph

Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses, has expressed delight after scoring in Chelsea’s 3-2 win against lower league side, Bristol Rovers, in the Second Round of the English Football League Cup on Tuesday.

The 26-year attacking midfielder scored in the 31st minute to make it 2-0 to Chelsea, while Michu Batshuayi scored Chelsea’s other two goals.

“The most important thing is go out there and enjoy yourself and score goals at the same time,” Moses told Chelsea TV.

“I will keep on adding more goals to my game which is the most important thing.”

Speaking on Saturday’s Premier League match against Burnley, Moses said: “There’s no easy game in the Premier League. It’s 11 against 11. It’s going to be a hard game for us on Saturday. But the most important thing is to work hard as a team and make sure we get the three points.

Meanwhile, Victor Moses has hailed Chelsea teammate Mikel John Obi for leading Nigeria to winning the football bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

“I was watching the games,” Moses told Chelsea’s official website.

“Obi was the captain, the leader of the side and he did really well for them. It wasn’t easy for them to go out to Brazil and win a medal so I’m very proud.

“They did their best so to come home with a bronze medal is great and I hope the whole country are proud of them.”
