Neymar set to make PSG debut as player's transfer certificate arrives

Brazilian star, Neymar, is finally set to make his first appearance for new club PSG on Sunday as the French Federation confirms his transfer certificate has arrived.

The 25-year old, who made a world-record £200m swoop from La Liga side Barcelona, could not play in PSG’s season opener against Amiens last weekend due to waiting paperwork clearance by the Ligue 1.

PSG will be away to Guingamp on Sunday and Neymar has been cleared to feature.

First, Barcelona confirmed on Friday the cheque used to pay his buyout clause had cleared.

“The cheque has cleared and therefore puts in motion the process of the transfer,” a Barcelona club source was quoted by AFP.

And the French Federation later posted on Twitter confirming the receipt of the transfer certificate.

“La FFF confirme la réception du certificat de transfert de @neymarjr envoyé par la RFEF.” Translated, “The FFF confirms receipt of the certificate of transfer of @neymarjr sent by the RFEF”

Neymar, who has been handed the no. 10 shirt, has been in training this week with his new team-mates as he gets used to his new setting in Paris.
