Nigeria is now president of UN Security Council

Nigeria has taken over the monthly rotational presidency of the United Nations Security council shared by member countries.

A statement by the head of Media 1, Tope Adeleye Elias-Fatile, permanent mission of Nigeria to the United Nations said the position starts running from the 3rd of August 2015.

He noted that it will be an opportunity to highlight what the country is doing at the highest level of international engagements.
