Panda fakes pregnancy to receive VIP treatment

A Panda has devised a mean to continue enjoying all the goodies she got during her first pregnancy; she faked a second pregnancy.

Yuan Yuan, a panda living in Taipei zoo, Taiwan couldn’t bear to let go of the life she was enjoying while pregnant with her first child – she was artificially inseminated – so she decided to pretend she was pregnant again.

The panda is a huge attraction at Teipei Zoo and was pampered silly when she was pregnant and developed a large appetite. She was moved to a more comfortable accommodation and given lots of fruits.

So when they thought she was pregnant again due to the impression she gave her carers, she was moved to an air-conditioned room for one and given round-the-clock care, with fresh fruits and bamboo.

But then, the scam was discovered when an ultra sound examination was carried out on Yuan Yuan and it was discovered that she was not pregnant.

Besides, this wasn’t the first time a panda pulled a scam with pregnancy, a panda in China zoo who was billed to give birth on live TV also did the same in the past.
