PDP: Fresh anxiety over S/West chairmanship bid

Published

on

Ahead of the December 9 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stakeholders of the party in the South-West are currently up in arms against the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

They accused the NWC of plotting not to only deny the zone the national chairmanship seat, but also limit the delegates from the zone to the convention to only statutory representation.

New Telegraph gathered that stakeholders from the zone, especially from Lagos, Ogun, Osun and Oyo states, are angst over the deadend approach the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led NWC adopted in conducting ward, local and state congresses in the states.
