PDP presidential aspirants’ list increases as David Mark joins in

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, the number of politicians aspiring to wrest power from President Muhammadu Buhari under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seems to be increasing.

The latest to join the list, is former Senate President, David Mark, who it was gathered is set to pick the party’s presidential interest and nomination forms on Tuesday (tomorrow).

Despite fears of a possible implosion in the party following the calibre and number of politicians seeking the party’s presidential ticket, the number has continued to soar on daily basis.

Mark’s successor as Senate President, Bukola Saraki, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, ex-Kano State governors Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Ibrahim Shekarau respectively and Jigawa State former governor, Sule Lamido among several others are currently seeking for the PDP presidential ticket.

The report of Mark’s entrance to the ever growing list of PDP presidential aspirants was confirmed to newsmen on Monday by James Oche, the national coordinator of Door2Door for David Mark.

He claimed that after a nationwide consultation that the former Senate President resolved to join the presidential race with the objective to salvage Nigeria from a total collapse.
