Timi Frank loses out as APC picks ex-minister Bolaji Abdulahi as nat'l publicity secretary

The ruling party of All Progressive Congress (APC) to announce the former minister of youths and sports, Bolaji Abdullahi as its new national publicity Secretary Thursday.

The office of national publicity Secretary has been left redundant since Lai Mohammed was appointed the minister of information, culture and tourism.

This brings to an end agitations by the suspended deputy national publicity of the party, Mr Timi Frank to be named into the position.

Franks had complained about not being automatically named into the position until he fell into trouble with the party’s leadership that led to his being expelled from the party.

The confirmation of Abdullahi as the new national publicity Secretary will hold today at Chelsea Hotel in Abuja today at 11am.

Mala Buni, national secretary of the APC, signed official statements on behalf of the party that Bolaji will succeed Lai Mohammed.

Abdullahi has once served as a commissioner of education in his home state of Kwara, before being appointed as a minister.

He is a close ally of Senate President Bukola Saraki.
