Trump to Aerosmith: “I’ve a better track to replace your songs”

The friction between Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Aerosmith front man, Steven Tyler seems to have bubbled over with Trump tweeting recently that Steven has got more publicity on his song request than he’s gotten in ten years.
Steven Tyler is the latest artist to tell Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump not to use one of his songs on the campaign trail. And even though he’s a huge fan of the rocker, Trump is acting unfazed by the diss.

Trump has used Aerosmith’s “Dream On” during various campaign events, but Tyler’s camp recently took legal action to make sure it never happens again. On Oct. 10, a second cease-and-desist letter related to usage of the song was sent to Trump’s campaign committee on Saturday.
The letter says that Trump does “not have our client’s permission to use ‘Dream On'” or any of Tyler’s other songs and that it “gives the false impression that he is connected with or endorses Mr. Trump’s presidential bid.”
Tyler, who is a registered Republican, attended the GOP contenders’ first debate in August.
Attorney Dina LaPolt said in a statement that the letter is not a “political” or “personal issue with Mr. Trump,” but it’s one of permission and copyright.
Representatives for Trump did not immediately respond to request for comment.
