Two more federal lawmakers dump APC

Two members of the House of Representatives have announced their defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Kolawole Babatunde, who represents Akoko South East/South West Federal constituency in Ondo State, and his counterpart Mukaila Kazeem representing Obafemi-Owode/Odeda Federal constituency, formalised their defection.

The letters announcing their defection were read by the speaker of the house, Yakubu Dogara at the plenary on Wednesday.

Kolawole who failed to secure ticket to return to the house under APC joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Kazeem, however, did not indicate his new party in the letter.

They blamed their resignations fromn the APC over how the party managed its primaries and fielded its candidates.
