Latest reports emanating from England reveal that Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger, is ready to sign Super Eagles and Watford striker, Odion Ighalo.

According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal have identified Ighalo as a potential summer signing to bolster their attacking options.

Ighalo has formed a formidable strike parring with Troy Deeney for Watford, with the pair netting the goals to get the club into the Premier League.

The 26-year-old is believed to have captured the attention of a number of teams this season, having scored 14 Premier League goals so far.

Ighalo recently described Manchester United as a “dream” club for him, but Wenger will try to convince the Nigerian to sign on at the Emirates Stadium.

Reports suggest that Wenger has been impressed with Ighalo’s clinical edge and physical presence, with a potential bid at the end of the season.

The north London heavyweights have been linked to a series of frontmen in recent weeks, with the likes of Chicharito, Troy Deeney and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all tipped for a move to the Emirates Stadium.

However, perhaps none of the above represents as ideal a fit for the Premier League heavyweights as Ighalo, who is currently demonstrating—on a consistent basis—that he can be a lethal proposition in the top flight.
