#CAFCC: MFM coach ‘not giving up’ despite home loss to Djoliba
Following their 1-0 home defeat to Mali’s Djoliba in CAF Confederation Cup play-offs, MFM FC head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu believes his team have the ability to overturn the deficit and make it to the group stages.
In the game played at the Agege Stadium last Sunday, the visitors were dominant and could have scored more goals but settled only for Mohamed Cisse’s 80th-minute effort.
Ilechukwu admits that his side now face a difficult task as they need to win on aggregate bid to make it to the group stages of the continental competition.

“It was a bad result for us but in football you don’t give up when you still have a chance,” Ilechukwu told reporters after the game.
“I must admit it’s going to be a tough one for us but we have to stay positive and keep fighting.
“We were not at our best in the game and I know this team can do better in the second leg.”
The second leg will take place in Bamako next week Wednesday.
