A party member was almost lynched in the ongoing Ondo governorship election for canvassing for votes at the polling centre.

A video of the incidence that surfaced on social media shows the angry voters descending on the politician before the situation was brought under control by armed policemen.

Also in a related development, the Situation room reported via a tweet at 9:15am that party agents overwhelmed INEC officials in PU28/03/05/003, Ipe II Ward, Akoko South East.

The group therefore called on the police and other security agencies involved in the election to intervene in the situation.
