18-yr-old motorcycle thief nabbed, says he went into robbery for girlfriend

The long arm of the law has caught up with a motorcycle thief who confessed to the police that he went into robbery just so that he’ll be able to take care of his girlfriend.

The suspect identified as Sharif Audu, 18, was nabbed by a team of police detectives from Niger State Police Command after robbing one Yakubu Ndanusa of his motorcycle.

During his confessional statement, Audu who admitted to stealing a Bajaj motorcycle said he went into robbery in order to raise money to take care of his girlfriend.

Audu said; “The desire to satisfy the needs of my girlfriend made me steal the motorcycle. I don’t want to say no to her and that is why I can do anything to make her happy, no matter what.

“I don’t want to share her with anybody and that is why I will go the extra mile to fulfill her needs. I don’t care what it may result to, my duty is to provide what she needs before any other thing, I love her so much,” he added.

The arrest of the suspect was confirmed by Muhammad Abubakar, the Police Public Relations Officer, who revealed that Audu will be charged to court as soon as investigation into the matter were conducted.
