Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, has urged the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to accept the outcome of the 2019 presidential election where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari, as winner.

The governor said the party and its candidate should wait for future opportunity to take another shot at the Presidency.

The governor on Wednesday, in a statement by his Press Secretary, Abubakar Al-Sadique, said the Atiku and his party to accept the outcome of the presidential election in good faith.

He encouraged Atiku to work with president for the benefit of the country.

“I, therefore, urge the opposition to accept defeat and support the newly re-elected President since there is another chance to contest in future.

“We thank the Almighty Allah for the peaceful way in which the elections were conducted.

“President Buhari means well for this nation and this year’s presidential election is a vote of confidence in the change agenda of the All Progressives Congress.”
