BREAKING: 386 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria as total hits 3912; death toll now 117

For the second consecutive day, Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections figure hit the 300 mark after the nation’s centre for disease control confirmed 386 new cases in several parts of the country Friday night.

Consequently, the number of people infected by the virus has reached 3,912, while the total fatalities have also increased to 117.

Meanwhile, 679 persons had been effectively managed and discharged by medical personnel in the various isolation centres across the country.

The breakdown of the figure published by the centre on its Twitter handle revealed the following: Lagos (176), Kano (65), Katsina (31), FCT (20), Borno (17), Bauchi (15), Nasarawa (14), Ogun (13) and Plateau (10).

Others are – Oyo (4), Sokoto (4), Rivers (4), Kaduna (3), Edo(2), Ebonyi (2), Ondo (2), Enugu (1), Imo(1), Gombe (1) and Osun (1).

The NCDC said: “3,912 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria.

“Discharged: 679 AND Deaths: 117.”
