British Health Secretary tests positive for coronavirus

The United Kingdom Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, has tested positive for coronavirus, just a few hours after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced he had also contracted the disease.

The 41-year-old, who is overseeing the efforts of the NHS to combat the pandemic in the UK, disclosed this on his Twitter handle —@MattHancock —saying he had experienced mild symptoms of the virus and would embark on self-isolation till next Thursday.

He said: “Following medical advice, I was advised to test for #Coronavirus. I have tested positive. Thankfully my symptoms are mild and I’m working from home & self-isolating.”
