COVID-19: Masari orders closure of borders with 4 states, Niger Republic

Ex Gov Shema carted away N400m govt vehicles –Katsina

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, on Friday, ordered the closure of all land borders with neighbouring states and the Niger Republic in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus in the state.

The neighbouring states are Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna and Zamfara.

The governor also placed a ban on large gathering in public and religious centers in the state.

The directive is effect 6:00 a.m. on Saturday.

He, however, said fuel tankers and vehicles carrying food items and other essential commodities would be allowed into the state subject to screening and test at the point of entry.
