CAF Cups: Enyimba, Nasarawa win, Wolves lose

Enyimba Football Club of Aba has been drawn in Group B of the 2016 CAF Champions League alongside Egyptian giants Zamalek, Entente Setif of Algeria and South African champions, Mamelodi Sundowns in the draws conducted on Tuesday.

The seven-time Nigerian champions, who won the CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004 must brace up considering the calibre of teams in Group B.

South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns replaced AS Vita of DR Congo who were disqualified for fielding a banned player in the preliminary rounds of the competition.

Group A will see Zesco of Zambia, Al Ahly of Egypt, Asec Mimosas and Tunisian side, Wydad Casablanca battle it out for honours.

Meanwhile, Enyimba coach, Paul Aigbogun, has declared the team’s readiness for the opponents in Group B.

“There’s no group that is going to be easy at this stage, so for me the draw is okay. We have to respect all the teams but we shouldn’t fear any of them,” he added.
