Court orders Ganduje, others not to take any action against Emir Sanusi

Reprieve came the way of deposed former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II on Friday, as a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja ordered for his release.

Sanusi, a former Governor of the Central of Nigeria (CBN), was dethroned on Monday by the Kano State Government and banished to Awe town in Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Justice Anwuli Chikere gave the order after listening to an ex parte application moved by Sanusi’s lead counsel, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) on Friday.
