The vicious legal showdown between record label Eric Many and its alienated artiste, Runtown may all but be over after a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, passed a judgement restraining his embattled record label, from interfering in his affairs.

In the judgement passed by Justice O.A Musa, the court ordered the suspension of the restraining order placed on Runtown from performing and engaging in other music related activities.

Runtown and his label, Eric Many led by billionaire businessman, Okwudili Umenyiora have been in court since 2018 when his contract expired.

In May last year, Eric Many slammed Runtown with a lawsuit for allegedly owing the label N267 million and that he had not also adhered to an agreement to deliver his album as at when due.

The court papers also revealed that Runtown deliberately tried to register the name Runtown without the label’s consent even as he reportedly violated other aspects of his contract with his former employers.
