COVID-19 test not a pleasant experience, Lagos Dep Gov says as his result comes out

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat has described as an unpleasant experience, the process of undergoing the COVID-19 test.

Hamzat stated this while announcing his coronavirus test result which turned out negative. He that that though the test was not a pleasant experience, as a leader it was important he undertook the test to avoid distractions.

The deputy governor wrote on his Twitter handle-@drobafemihamzat: “The #COVID19 test is not a pleasant experience but it is important that as a leader nothing distracts me from my role this period. I’m happy to announce that my #COVID19 test result is NEGATIVE.

“A big thank you to all our health workers. Please play your role, #StayHomeSaveLives”

Lagos State has remained the epicentre of persons infected by the dreaded virus in Nigeria. The state as at Saturday, April 4, has a record of 109 confirmed cases. Of the number, 23 have been treated and discharged while one person has died as a result of the virus.

The governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his family members and aides also recently tested negative to the virus.
