Danjuma selects 21 Falconets

Coach of nigeria’s U-20 women’s team, Christopher Danjuma, has made his final team selection ahead of the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France.

Nigeria are making their 9th appearance at the 9th edition of the biennial international women’s youth football championship. And they have reached the final twice – in the 2010 and 2014 editions.

The Falconets, who have been preparing for the tournament in a camp in Austria, will storm the competition with three goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and five strikers.

The team is expected to leave for France on August 2nd, and will begin their campaign with a crucial match against Germany on August 6th.

They will later face Haiti and China in their other Group D encounters on August 9th and 13th respectively, with the hope of advancing to the next round.
