Defeated Boko Haram plot attack on Adamawa

A planned attack by Boko Haram insurgents on Dar village in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa state was on Monday thwarted by men of the Nigerian Army.

Lauding the efforts of the soldiers, Alhaji Yusuf Mohammed, Chairman of Madagali Local Government, said the attack was promptly contained by the security operatives.

He also called on citizens to lend more support to secure the area.

Commenting and also confirming the incident, Maj. Akintoye Badare spokesman of 28 Task-Force Battalion, Mubi, said there was no military casualty following the operation as they successfully repelled the Boko Haram insurgents.

“All I can confirmed to you now is that there was an attack on Dar village but we successfully repelled it; no casualty on our side, ” he said.

Badare also noted that soldiers remain on alert and the situation in the area has since normalized.

Recall last month that President Muhammaudu Buhari told the nation that the military had routed Boko Haram from the Sambisa Forest, a key northeastern stronghold.

This is also as he had told the nation a year ago that the Islamist militants had been “technically” defeated.

If Boko Haram was truly defeated, where did these Boko Haram who threatened Adamawa come from? There’s no defeat as long as Boko Haram keeps planning fresh attacks

Nigerian Army should be given for credit for staying at alert always. The Boko Haram attack was a failed attack because they were quick to intervene. Nigeria is in the safe hands of the Army

Boko Haram will definitely be crushed one day but not in buhari’s regime. Buhari somehow was linked to Boko Haram in the past so we need understand many things.
