Published

on

The plot to sack the Ondo State deputy governor, Mr. Ali Olanusi has reached the conclusive stage, as he has been finally impeached by state’s House of Assembly.

Recall that we recently reported that the plot to sack Olanusi was put on fast forward two days ago when the seven-man panel set up to look into the allegation of gross misconduct leveled against him concluded its sitting on Friday.

The motion for his impeachment was moved by the majority leader Ifedayo Akinsoyinu from Ondo West 11 and seconded by Olatunji Dauro from Owo 11‎.

In all, 22 of the 26 members of the Assembly supported his impeachment.

The Speaker Rt Hon Jumoke Akindele ordered the Permanent Secretary of the Deputy governor’s office to retrieve all government properties in Olanusi’s custody by all lawful means.
