EDO: Driver, 2 others in police net for allegedly murdering, faking kidnap of 87-yr-old boss

The long arm of the law has caught up with a driver identified as Clement Ekuase and two others for allegedly murdering an 87-year-old man Pa Nosakhare Omo-Osagie.

According to Mr. Johnson Kokumo, the state Commissioner of Police, the suspect and his cohorts dumped the remains of the victim in a pit toilet after he was murdered in his home located in the Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the state.

Kokumo said Ekuase who was employed as a driver to the deceased, killed his victim when he clubbed the aged man with a pestle in the head and dispossessed him of a Mercedes-Benz wagon bought for him (Pa Nosakhare Omo-Osagie) by his children.

The CP who said the incident was being treated as a case of murder added that Ekuase later sold the vehicle to a herbalist and told the kids of the late man based abroad that their father had been kidnapped.

The suspect later told the late man’s children that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of N2m which was paid and unknowingly collected by Ekuase with a promise to release the old man.

However, the suspect ran out of luck when family members of the deceased found Pa Omo-Osagie’s decomposing body in a pit toilet prompting police investigations after the case was reported.

The CP said Ekuase who will be charged to court soon was arrested while trying to collect a balance of N500,000 from the buyer of the car originally owned by his late boss.
