Information reaching Ripples suggests that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) who stormed the Frederick Chiluba, Asokoro, Abuja home of the immediate former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, may have recovered cash running into millions of naira.

Operatives of the EFCC from the Subsidy Unit raided the former minister’s residence hours after she was arrested in London by the UK National Crime Agency on Friday.

She was arrested alongside four others in connection with bribery and corruption investigation.

However, a source close to the operation, said only N1.2 million was recovered.

The operatives, who raided the mansion in six vehicles, gained access with the aid of some former security aides of the former minister through the windows of the building.

According to reports, Diezani had been away from the palatial home since leaving office in May.
