Falz disses hospitals over death of female corps member shot by trigger-happy policeman

The death of a female NYSC corps member who was shot dead by a trigger-happy policeman in Abuja has left rapper, Folarin Falana known better as Falz in a state of despair.

Moments after the death of the victim identified as Linda Angela Igwetu, who was meant to pass out yesterday, July 5th, was announced, the rapper took to social media to decry the fact that society does not value the life of its citizens.

He wrote on Twitter; “This country ehn. I really don’t grab. Sigh.

“If somebody has a gunshot wound and they are brought to your hospital, you are supposed to treat them, not ask for any f*cking police report.

“Even if na suspected armed robber, Who are you to deprive them of the right to stay alive? Let the court pass judgment.”

The victim reportedly died of gun wounds after the policeman in question shot at the car she was in with her friends as they were celebrating their passing out of youth service.

She was later rushed to Garki hospital but the hospital refused to treat her because there was no police report authorizing them to treat her gunshot wound as she later bled to death.

The death of the victim was confirmed by Police spokesman Anjuguri Manzah (a Deputy Superintendent of Police) who informed that the command had launched an investigation into the matter.

Recall that the rapper had earlier reacted angrily to the recent killing of no less than 86 victim’s and the injuring of scores of others following a bloody attack by suspected herdsmen on 11 villages in Plateau State.

The rapper, who took to Twitter to express his disappointment at the incident decried the disturbing level of insensitivity to the daily massacre of Nigerians and also expressed concern that the situation is getting out of control.
