‘Fear not, Nigerians resistant to Zika’
The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole has allayed the fears of Nigerians about Zika virus said to have originated from South America and that is ravaging some countries around the globe.

He told the Senate Committee on Health Monday, that the virus has been in the country since 1954, but that it had been unable to harm citizens because Nigerians had developed strong resistance to it.
He therefore called on Nigerians to ignore the virus.
