FIFA reveals W’Cup teams slogans; Eagles soar for Africa’s pride

As the kick off of the 2018 World Cup draws near, world football governing body FIFA has released the slogans for all the 32 teams that will participate in the tournament.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have ‘The wing of African pride’ as their slogan at the global showpiece which kicks of on June 14 in Russia.

The Nigerian national side are the first of five African teams to seal qualification for this year’s World Cup, and will hope to put up a great showing when they kick off their campaign against Croatia, before facing Iceland and Argentina in the group stages.

The Gernot Rohr men are representing the continent alongside Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Senegal.

Morocco’s slogan says, ‘The Atlas Lions, pride of Morocco,’ while that of the Les Aigles de Carthage of Tunisia’s reads: ‘Russia here comes the eagles hand in hand players and fans.’

The Pharaohs of Egypt will be chanting, ‘When you say Pharaohs, the world must get up and listen,’ as the Teranga Lions of Senegal will continually profess, ‘IMPOSSIBLE IS NOT SENEGALESE!’
