Fire Service blames traffic, mob for failed bid to quell Onitsha tanker fire

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has blamed heavy traffic and the activity of a mob for the inability of firefighters to get to the scene of the Onitsha tanker explosion on Wednesday.

Fire resulting from tanker explosion at Ochanja Market, Onitsha, Anambra State, on Wednesday had left many dead including a mother and son. Properties worth several millions of Naira were also destroyed in the ensuing inferno.
